Beyond Classrooms
A World of Good
Values are the guiding principles that shape our outlook, attitudes, and behavior. At AIS, our teachers are committed to instilling moral values in our students, offering a true perspective for the development of any society or nation. Their role extends beyond imparting knowledge; they lead by example and provide guidance. Our comprehensive Value Education Program spans all classes, making the learning of values engaging and enjoyable through various educational, value-based activities.
The Ethics and values initiative at AIS aims to foster reflection and introspection on moral and ethical issues among students. Rather than imposing a set of rules, the program encourages students to thoughtfully select and adhere to values that are relevant and appropriate for their time. The sessions and activities are designed to promote independent moral reasoning and facilitate discussions about moral dilemmas and crises, helping students develop a lasting and meaningful set of values. The program also addresses a wide range of socially significant themes through creative approaches and activities, enriching students’ understanding and application of these values.
Unraveling Pride & Prejudice
The Gender Sensitivity Program at AIS aims to foster values of equality among students by emphasizing the vital role of women alongside men in addressing environmental and development issues. Recognizing that gender perspectives are crucial not only in projects targeting women but also in all environmental and development initiatives, this program engages students from Grade VI to Grade X. It encourages them to reflect on societal issues and become respectful, contributing individuals who value all genders equally.
At AIS, we urge students to critically examine the systemic discrimination, oppression, and prejudice perpetuated by social norms and practices, which result in both inequality and injustice. Through a diverse array of activities, games, and logical exercises, the program is designed to be both engaging and thought-provoking. It seeks to raise awareness about social gender-based differences and empower students to take informed actions, fostering an environment of respect and equality for all genders.

Community Service
At AIS community service is embraced with unwavering integrity and enthusiasm. Our students and faculty not only connect deeply with the community but also carry forward the spirit of compassion and kindness in their everyday lives. Since the school’s inception, community service has been a cornerstone of our values and mission. Our community service initiatives are driven by the AIS Community & Outreach Club, the Interact Club, the Community-Activity-Service Program, and the students themselves, who take action as part of their inquiry cycles.
Community outreach and service activities are integrated into most of our learning experiences and engagements. These programs empower students to choose and lead social service projects, such as awareness campaigns, visits to old age homes, orphanages, centers for the deaf and mute, and eco-sustainability drives. Through these activities, our students learn early on the importance of giving back to society and supporting the less privileged and marginalized. The aim of our community outreach activities is to develop leadership, resilience, empathy, and a service-oriented mindset among students. AIS regularly collaborates with NGOs, charities, social workers, and various causes, providing our students with larger platforms to make a significant impact.
